Epoxy-Polyester & Hybrid Powder Coating

Hybrid epoxy polyester powder coatings are generally used for indoor applications where a combination in durability and superior colour stability are required.

Metallics: Most coatings are available in a variety of metallic finishes. We stock a range of silver metallic epoxy-polyester powder coating finishes although we can cater for most requirements.

Hammer Finishes: We stock grey hammer and silver antique finishes although a full range of commercial hammer finishes can be offered. Hammer finishes offer an attractive coating which are also ideal for hiding blemishes on the original surface.

Textures: Leatherette and and fine textures are generally kept in stock although we can offer most commercially available textures as required.

Gloss Levels: Most colours are available in a range of gloss levels. We typically cater for matt, satin and full gloss finishes.

Lacquer: Clear lacquers are also available as a protective over coat where required.

Specific Applications: We offer a range of application specific premium epoxy-polyester powder coatings, some of which are detailed below:

Warm To The Touch Coatings: We offer Plascoat PPA 571, a thermoplastic polymer alloy coating, which has been designed primarily to satisfy the requirements of the Building Regulations 2000 concerning Access to and Use of Buildings, Part M1 and M2. This stipulates the requirement for handrails to be "slip resistant and not cold to the touch". The coating is resistant to stress cracking, adverse weather conditions, detergents, salt spray and typical airborne pollutants. It also maintains excellent adhesion to the metal substrate without the need for a separate primer as well as providing a good degree of electrical insulation, abrasion and impact resistance.

Antibacterial Coatings: We offer specialist indoor antibacterial epoxy-polyester powder coatings from a range of suppliers including Interpons 700 AB range. This antibacterial epoxy-polyester powder coating can reduce bacterial population by 90% as tested on bacteria such as Listeria, E-Coli, Salmonella and Legionella whilst maintaining all of the characteristics of a regular epoxy-polyester powder coating.

Anti-Graffiti Coatings: We offer specialist outdoor anti-grafitti powder coatings including the Interpon EC system which is a polyurethane coating formulated to offer excellent anti-grafitti and stain resistance properties with good aesthetic appearance. The system allows aerosol paints to be easily removed with either xylene, acetone or trichloroethylene and is available in both a range of colours and as a clear.

Heat Resistant Coatings: We offer Oxyplast's Heliocoat heat resistant powder coat finishes which are ideal for BBQ’s, industrial heaters, chimney stacks, engine casings, engine manifolds, mufflers and light fixtures. Benefits include:

Furniture Coatings: We offer specialist interior metal furniture powder coatings from a range of suppliers including the Interpon F1000 system which offers excellent scratch and mar resistance on a variety of substrates.

UV Protection Coatings: Whilst most polyester coatings are good for UV and outdoor weather resistance, for specilaist applications we offer the Sol-ar Fluoropolymer Powder Coatings from Oxyplast. This high performance line of powder coatings for architectural applications is manufactured using fluoropolymer resins that ensure outstanding weathering performance and excellent resistance to the damaging effects of UV light. Sol-ar powders demonstrate superior abrasion, corrosion and mar resistance and do not require a primer. Their strength prevents damage in the handling and installation process and makes Sol-ar the ideal application for railings and other heavy traffic areas. Sol-ar powders are guaranteed for ten years and meet the requirements of AAMA specification 2605-02.

Low Friction Powder Coatings: We offer the Permaslip powder coating from Oxyplast which exhibits an extremely low coefficient of friction. Their low coefficient provides these powders with excellent low-friction characteristics ideal for certain application. This allows interlocking or meshing products to slide effortlessly within each other. Shopping carts can be fitted together without fear of chipping. Drawer slides glide effortlessly without the coating being eroded away.

MDF & Wood Powder Coatings: The Thermolam powder coatings from Oxyplast were developed to powder coat wood and wood products using a traditional thermal cure. These powders are ideal for MDF as well as other woods such as oak and maple. Thermolam powders are extremely durable and are available in a range of colors and textures.

Metallic Powder Coatings: We offer E bond® from Oxyplast, a metallic powder coating manufactured using proprietary processes to ensure consistent finishes in a variety of metallic colors and special effects including textures, veins, and hammertones.
